Network Marketing Get to Know Your UplineIn Part 2 of my Network Marketing Company Selection Secrets series, I’m taking a look at the importance of getting to know your potential upline.

Network marketing companies live and die by their leadership.  Period.  The idiom:  “A fish rots first at the head” could not be more appropriate here.

You have to get to know as many of the leaders in your potential network marketing company as possible.

Surround Yourself with a Great Network Marketing Team!

One of the great things about joining a network marketing company is the chance to surround yourself with an exciting culture of people that motivate and challenge you to grow.  If you aren’t plugged in to a culture that truly fosters this sort of culture, you increase your chances of becoming one of the 97% of MLM beginners who fail to succeed.

Now, I’m not going to come off as Mr. Popular here, but it needs to be said that you should not join a network marketing company because your brother, sister, aunt, uncle, cousin, or friend begs you to.

Be gracious enough to let them share the opportunity with you, but then do your homework as I’m outlining it here.  Remember, that this is going to be YOUR network marketing business.  You should treat it as such from the get go by doing your due diligence.

Be sure to get to know your potential upline, visit their meetings and join in on their calls to see what kind of support system your connected to.
