Network Marketing Company Selection Secrets Part 1

In truth, there is no single secret to choosing the right network marketing company.  What I’ve put together here is a 5 step plan top earning network marketing pros use to secure successful positions within companies that are profitable for years.

Network Marketing

I’m going to break out this post into a series of 5 that provides you with an overall approach to selecting the best network marketing company for you.

First, let’s take a look at exactly how many network marketing companies there are.

A quick look over on NPros.com puts their directory list of MLM companies at around 1,240. New network marketing companies are hitting the market every day, so above all else – it’s critical that you set your sights on one that will be mutually beneficial for both you and the company.

Like any other relationship, this one has to be built on belief, appreciation, and mutual professional respect.

I’ve spent a lot of time researching various MLM companies – sorting through the rubbish and separating the “wheat from the chaff,” so to speak.  I looked at compensation plans, business models, longevity, mission and vision objectives, and other such factors to pull together what I feel is a useful and concise 5 point plan for you to follow as you make your own decisions about joining your next MLM.

The first area we’re going to look at is getting to know the vision and reputation of the network marketing company you are considering.

Know The Network Marketing Company’s Vision and Reputation

The importance of knowing a network marketing company’s vision and reputation in the industry cannot be overstated.

I’ve read tons of stories where folks sign up with a company after seeing a slick presentation, only to find out later that they’ve been the victim of a fly by night operation with zero support, leadership, or sustainability.

You want to be sure you partner with an organization that puts its promoters first in terms of training, support, resources, and compensation.  Be selective when selecting a network marketing company, for goodness sake! I mean, look.  You’re embarking upon a business that will put you in front of friends, family, and those who know, love and care about – asking them to join forces with you.

Can you really risk the personal character assassination that often comes with joining forces with a less than reputable network marketing business?

When you talk to the person introducing you to a given company, make it a point to speak with their upline.  Get as high up as you can and then ask the tough questions.  You’re interviewing them, remember?  They want you… trust me.  And if you show them that you are truly being selective in your search for the right MLM, they’re going to want you even more.

Get on one of their webinars or conference calls.  You’ll immediately see whether they’re prepared to offer you solid network marketing training in the areas of prospecting, generating leads, and closing the deal.

If all you hear is a bunch of rah rah woop woop talk be very wary.  You are busy, and any company that uses up your valuable time at 10 PM on a Sunday night to blow smoke up your bum does not deserve the benefit of your hard work and effort.

Attend the meetings when they speak so that you can judge the mindset and talents of the leaders and their intentions.  Putting in this extra effort at the outset will help you avoid potential pitfalls down the line.
